Sub-document Management — Lattice Documents
The LatticeVault supports fined-grained document management (LatticeDocuments) or management of documents at the paragraph level. This provides customers with advanced features such as: auto-redaction, dependency analysis, traceability that enables a high-level of due diligence for all documents created.

It also provides a powerful framework that allows distributed people to co-author a document in a controlled fashion. More valuable is the ability to create and manage dependencies between related documents and create a hypertext document collection (e.g. Wikis). LatticeDocuments maintain these dependencies and guarantee the currency and correctness of the information amid continuous change.

Maintaining the correctness of interrelated document sets is especially important for companies that must comply with various government regulations. Without sub-document management and traceability, the effort to maintain currency and correctness of information as it changes is overwhelming.

The LatticeVault supports the creation of LatticeDocuments — documents that can be managed at the paragraph level. As authors create and edit LatticeDocuments, they set dependencies between sections of other documents that are related. This "dependency lattice" (hence the name) is incomprehensible and impossible to maintain manually, but the LatticeVault automates this vital function so that any change made by others to related documents is immediately made known to authors so they can verify that their information is current.

The following picture illustrates a lattice of sub-document dependencies between six different LatticeDocuments:
